Local Fete
It was such a beautiful day in Sydney yesterday that we decided to go to a local school fete. The boys didn't want to go (of course!!!!), but then after we had been there for 2 1/2 hours, didn't want to leave ..... go figure. Anyway, they had a great time on the giant slide. Oliver loved the "Storm" ride. Daniel wouldn't go on it. I can see that it will be Ollie and I on the roller coaster at the Easter show!!
They then did some kicking practice.
And just before we left, Daniel won a goldfish (no photo!). Wonder how long this one will last???

Carol's Jonquils
Last time Dad and Carol came to Sydney they bought me a bunch of beautiful home grown jonquils. The perfume was fantastic.

Nappy Bag
I thought I'd better get my act together and make-up the Amy Butler nappy bag pattern that I bought about 6 months ago. I followed the pattern to the letter and even put on the little mobile phone pocket.

The bunks
Last Sunday Helen and Ben came over for lunch. Helen and I decided we'd have a go at putting the bunks together. Ben made a hasty retreat, but Wayne, Helen and I were successful and the boys love them. This now enables me to finish putting Oliver's things into Daniel's room in preparation for the baby. Thank you Helen.

Quick Quilt
I thought I'd better get my act together and make a quilt for the baby, so I picked up this monkey fabric from "The Shop" a couple of weeks ago and put this together. It is a square quilt (110cm sq.) that I thought I'd use when the baby needs time on the floor. I hand quilted a diagonal pattern on the blue and orange blocks, a cross pattern between the monkeys, a triangular pattern on the small green border and then a random pattern on the white monkey border.

The Baby Shower
On Saturday I had a baby shower thrown for me. It was hosted by Helen and organised by Ange. We had a lovely afternoon tea on a glorious winter's day. I have so many wonderful women in my life and all of you are very, very special to me. I was thoroughly spoilt and much loved. Thank you. Bring on the baby!

Quilting Update
Well it may have been delivered 2 years late, but what is the saying "Better late than never!" I finally finished Elisha and Gareth's quilt and presented it to Elisha on Saturday. As you can see it is just squares sewn together but each square has been individually hand quilted with a different design (hence the reason it took me so long!). I asked Dad and Carol to hold it up so I could take a photo and Dad wanted to be in every shot, so eventually I gave in. The label being modelled is made using fabric from Elisha's wedding dress.
I have also finished the quilt top for our bed on the weekend. I've been working on this one too for quite a while. It is off being basted ready for me to quilt it (probably for the next two years, hey Wayne!).
